Roberto De Zerbi reveals ambitious plans for Evan Ferguson after Irish striker signs new deal

Evan Ferguson has signed a new five year deal with Brighton and Hove Albion after a brilliant breakout season for the Seagulls. The Republic of Ireland striker, 18, has scored eight goals in 19 appearances for the club in the current campaign, and has attracted interest from clubs such as Manchester United and Chelsea. Ferguson, however, wisely opted to remain with Roberto De Zerbi's team. The Italian coach has promised to turn him into one of the best centre-forwards in Europe.

The Irish striker only turned 18 last October and is in his first full season in the Brighton team, but his absence was felt during Brighton's FA Cup semi-final against Man United last Sunday.
