France to deport group of Russian hooligans

It's about time.

French authorities are to deport 20 Russian hooligans, including Alexander Shprygin, the far-right leader of the Russian footballer supporters' association. The group were detained when travelling from Marseille to Lille to attend Russia's Group B game against Slovakia. Russian hooligans had ran riot through Marseille last weekend, ahead of the country's tie against England, and charged on English supporters at the conclusion of the game in the Stade Velodrome. Uefa hit the Russian FA with a fine and a disqualified suspension from Euro 2016. The group of supporters, dubbed the All-Russia Supporters Union, are being held in a deportation centre, and will be expelled from the country in the next five days, according to the BBC. They reportedly have ties to the Kremlin, and their arrests angered Moscow authorities, who summoned the French ambassador to protest the decision. We reckon the ambassador will be summoned again pretty soon.
