Fred slams media for ‘fake news’ about himself and ‘other MUFC athletes’

Fred dismissed the rumours on his social media account

Manchester United midfielder Fred has called the media out for creating "fake news" surrounding his and his teammates' future at the club. Several reports have linked the Brazilian with a move away from Old Trafford, but the midfielder came out to quash those rumours and confirm he is more than happy with life at United, as are fellow members of the squad. He tweeted: "Over the past few days I have read several fake news involving my name and other MUFC athletes. Many of those have been less than impressed with interim boss Ralf Rangnick taking charge - despite the German losing just one of his six games in charge, while fans have also began to divert their criticism towards the players after several abject performances on the pitch this season.
