Ferguson maintains that Rooney handed in a transfer request in 2013, just before Fergie retired, but the striker insists that that simply wasn't the case.
“I went in to see him and just said, ‘If you are not going to play me then it might be better for me to move on,’” Rooney said.
“Then, all of a sudden, it was all over the press that I had put a transfer request in, which I never did."
But Fergie has a different take on how that issue played out and, by the sounds of it, he's still pretty bitter about the whole ordeal.
Ferguson was scheduled to take part in the BBC documentary ‘Rooney - The Man Behind the Goals,’ but Gary Lineker has revealed that he pulled out of the filming.

We can't say that we're surprised that Alex Ferguson isn't a subscriber to the "forgive and forget" school of thought.
