Gary Neville’s flawed remark on new Mo Salah contract gets taken apart

Mo Salah has penned a new, three year deal with Liverpool for a reported £54.6 million. Gary Neville reckons representatives of the forward have "played" the Merseysiders. Salah will earn £350,000 over the next three seasons as the Reds made him the club's highest paid player. Jamie Carragher, meanwhile, has suggested that he knew Mohamed Salah was going to sign a new contract, after calling out Salah’s agent for his cryptic tweet regarding the Egyptian. Salah signed a new long-term contract with the Reds which will see the attacker remain at Anfield until 2025, with his new deal making him the highest-paid player in the club's history. Prior to the Merseyside club announcing the news, Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas Issa tweeted a laughing emoji - which sent Reds supporters, and former player Carragher, into confusion. https://twitter.com/RamyCol/status/1542852229736157185 Following Issa’s first tweet, which tricked Liverpool fans into thinking there were further problems renewing their star’s contract, Sky Sports pundit Carragher replied, appearing to criticise the agent.
