Gareth Bale might struggle to fend off Harry Wilson for future Welsh free-kicks.

With Bale injured and therefore unavailable for Tuesday's Uefa Nations League clash with the Republic of Ireland, Wilson took the opportunity to prove that Wales are far from a one-man team as he curled home a gorgeous free-kick on the hour-mark. After a drab first half at the Aviva Stadium, Wilson needed no second invitation when Harry Arter needlessly fouled Connor Roberts on the edge of the Irish area. "He does it in training and funnily enough, when we got the free-kick, I turned around to the bench and said it was a bit too far out," Lampard told Sky Sports last month. "It certainly proved me wrong. But I was right behind it. He got the movement and it's typical of him and Mason Mount.
