Ireland midfielder Alan Judge warned by FA after breaching doping regulations

Alan Judge will be under the microscope of the F.A for the next two years after a doping breach.

The Brentford midfielder, who is recovering from a double leg break at the moment, has been reprimanded by the FA after results of a drugs test indicated he had breached strict anti-doping regulations. The Dubliner was charged with an offence after levels of salbutamol, used via an asthma inhaler, was found in his system which were above the permitted amount according to the FA. The association deemed the amount of the drug in his system was above what would be expected in a therapeutic use of the substance. The midfielder, who suffered a horror injury against Ipswich in April, denied the charge, and was brought before an independent regulatory commission this week. Despite his denial, the charge was found proven, and he will now face target testing for the next two years by the FA after the sanction set down by the regulatory commission found no significant fault or negligence on his part.
