Ireland fans face an arduous trip if they’re to see all three group games at Euro 2016

Irish fans will get to see a lot of France next summer.

It appears Irish fans will face as difficult a task following the team as Martin O'Neill's side will on the pitch at Euro 2016. The Republic of Ireland begin their campaign against Sweden Zlatan Ibrahimovic in Paris on Monday June 13th, before playing Belgium in Bordeaux on Saturday June 18th. O'Neill's side will finish the group, and hopefully secure a place in the knock-out stages, on June 22nd against Italy in Lille. If you're one of the hardcore fans who hopes to travel to all of the games you'll have to do a lot of travelling. The distance between Paris and Bordeaux is 580km and it's then a 806km trek back up to Lille for the game against Italy. Hopefully the camper van proves up to the task. Irish fans will be well acquainted with the Stade de France, on the outskirts of Paris. The Ireland rugby team have played there many times, the football team earned a goalless draw there back in 2004 and Thierry Henry's handball at the venue crushed Irish hopes of qualifying for the World Cup back in 2009. The stadium holds over 81,000.For Ireland's second game, the team will play at Bordeaux's stadium, which holds 42,115, and has been built especially for the tournament.And Ireland will finish the group in the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, a 50,000 seater stadium, against Italy in Lille.
