CONFIRMED: Jack Byrne seals exciting Championship move

Jack Byrne will play his football at Blackburn Rovers next season after securing a loan move from Manchester City. Following a season-long deal with SC Cambuur in The Netherlands, the 20-year-old will be kept closer to home and play Championship football at Ewood Park. Cambuur wanted to keep him for another year but City have opted to keep him in England, just up the road. Byrne was called into Martin O'Neill's Ireland squad, in March, but did not make their Euro 2016 squad. A stint of Championship football, alongside Irish internationals, will do his international chances no harm at all.
