James McClean takes great pleasure in Rangers’ misery after bad day at the office

Things could always be worse.

You could be losing an Old Firm derby 5-1. One of the best things about James McClean is that he is true to himself. He has principles, he has beliefs and he doesn't bend them or deny them at the risk of upsetting someone else. He's an Irish man. A proud Derry nationalist. He likes Celtic. He definitely doesn't like Rangers. Some of his decisions cause controversy - people would rather he didn't be who he was. He sat on the bench for the duration of the Bournemouth game and watched his West Brom team mates go down 1-0. He couldn't even lend a hand as Tony Pulis opted for two new signings, Matt Phillips and Nacer Chadli, on the flanks instead. But it wasn't all doom and gloom for the Irish hero.
