WATCH: Joe Cole’s bicycle-kick beauty makes America briefly forget about baseball

Joe Cole is now earning his footballing wages with the Tampa Bay Rowdies in the North American Soccer League. However, if he keeps this up, a lucrative MLS move may not be far away. Now aged 34, Cole is using his footballing talents to secure some trots around the globe - Melbourne, Florida... Coventry. On Saturday, he proved he hasn't lost his spectacular side as he creamed home a superb bicycle kick.

It was enough to help see off Puerto Rico FC but there was more glory on the horizon. ESPN's Sportscenter [sic] celebrated the strike by making it No.1 in their nightly Top 10 sporting round-up:

Basketball, NFL and ice hockey are wrapped for the moment but there was still a heap of baseball on in the United States and to briefly make Americans forget that takes some doing. Too late for another England comeback? Probably, but you never know if Sam Allardyce or Harry Redknapp get the top job.
