“I feel great, I think this has come at the right moment in my career,” Mourinho told MUTV. “Man Utd are one of these clubs you need to be prepared for because it is a giant club. A giant club must be for the best managers and I think I’m ready for it.
“I can say I’m happy, proud, honoured, but the reality we still need to work and I cannot wait for July 7th to go on the pitch.
“I think we can look at our club now in two perspectives. One is the past three years and another is the club’s history. I prefer to forget the past three years.
“What the fans are expecting me to say is I want to win and I think what the players need to hear is that I want to win. More than that I need the supporters and players to feel that I am saying that. Yes, I want to focus on the history of this giant club and I will give everything.”
