Mario Balotelli meets Jose Mourinho as Italian seeks advice on his career

The sight of 'Jose Mourinho', 'meets' and 'Mario Balotelli' in the same headline is enough to strike fear into the heart of any Manchester United fan.

The recently-appointed United boss was once Balotelli's manager when the pair were at Inter Milan, and reports from Italy now claim that the duo had an 'informal meeting' in recent days. But, needless to say, this doesn't mean Mourinho is plotting a shock move to bring the 26-year-old to Old Trafford from Liverpool. Italian outlet Calciomercato say that Balotelli, whose career has stalled at Anfield, sought career advice from his old boss when the pair met up recently. The report claims that Mourinho told him that he would need to change his attitude if he intended to reach his potential (something tells us Mario's been told that before). The Italian is surplus to requirements at Liverpool this summer and has been linked with several moves away from the club. Despite being four years away from his 30th birthday, his career has taken him back and forth between Milan and England. Having started out at Inter, he moved to Manchester City in 2010, only to move to AC Milan two and half years later. Eighteen months on and he was back in England with Liverpool, only to be loaned back to the Rossoneri a year later. AC opted not to make the loan switch a permanent one, meaning Balotelli's future is now uncertain.
