Jose Mourinho reveals on Instagram how United’s ‘warm weather training’ isn’t going to plan

A spot of warm weather training sounded like a great idea to Jose Mourinho.

With the famously congested festive fixture list behind them, Manchester United found themselves with a nice break between games after their FA Cup win over Derby County on Friday night. With that in mind, he decided to book the squad on a trip, escaping the Mancunian winter for a few days and returning refreshed for their next game at home to Stoke next Monday. Dubai seemed like the perfect choice. Built on the edge of a desert, decent weather was guaranteed... wasn't it? Well, not exactly. Having arrived on Monday, Mourinho appeared to see the funny side of the weather that greeted his players and staff. Posting a short video on his Instagram page, the United boss revealed that it was actually pissing it down in UAE city. Having beaten Derby 2-0 on Friday, it was Coventry City's win over Stoke which helped guarantee United's trip to Dubai.
