The League of Ireland has entered into an exciting new partnership with Premier Sports to deliver an upgraded streaming experience on its LOITV platform.
Starting from November 2024, the enhanced service will provide fans with access to live League of Ireland fixtures via a range of apps on mobile, tablet, and Smart TVs.
The new partnership will also introduce a flexible subscription model ahead of the 2025 season, offering a variety of options such as annual, monthly, and 24-hour passes. Specific details and pricing will be announced in the lead-up to the new season.
LOITV will continue to stream every match from the League of Ireland’s three divisions, with an enhanced viewing experience for fans.
The SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division will feature a minimum two-camera setup for live broadcasts, while the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division and Men’s First Division will have single-camera productions.
Alongside league fixtures, fans will also be able to stream the Sports Direct Men's and Women's FAI Cups, the President's Cups, and the Women’s All-Island Cup, with match highlights also available.
Mark Scanlon, League of Ireland Director, welcomed the partnership, emphasising how Premier Sports' expertise will elevate the platform and improve accessibility for supporters.
"We’re delighted to make today’s announcement with a world class partner in Premier Sports to bring LOITV to the next level," he said.
"The platform has come a long way in a short period of time and having every game streamed live along with an increase in TV broadcasts has become central to the growth of the League.
"This partnership will bring the platform to a whole new level thanks to the expertise from the industry leading team at Premier Sports and will allow supporters of the League of Ireland easy access to all the action via modern apps and Smart TVs."
Premier Sports’ Head of Product, Brian Stenson, called the collaboration a significant step for the company, highlighting how their experience in sports broadcasting will benefit League of Ireland fans by offering more platforms, live events, and value.
"We are delighted to be working with LOITV on this new streaming partnership," he said.
"This is an important milestone for our business as we make available our in-house OTT products and knowledge to partners for the first time. Combining Premier Sports' experience in the sports broadcast and streaming industry with the excitement of League of Ireland means we will bring more live events, more platforms to watch on and more value to League of Ireland fans than ever before.”
