Footage shows Leeds United fans delivering a message to Frank Lampard and the clubs other detractors from the terraces on Friday night

After over half a season of positive, fluid football and plaudits from football's talking heads, Leeds United fans were given a chance to remember what it's like to be Leeds fans when it emerged head coach Marcelo Bielsa had sent one of the club's staff to spy on opponents Derby County ahead of their game on Friday night. Having been the darlings of retired rivals on Sky Sports for over four months due to their attacking play on the pitch, the controversy gave an excuse for the likes of Stan Collymore and Jermaine Jenas to sink their claws into one of English football's most hated clubs - calling for a point deduction for the Yorkshire side that currently sits four-points clear at the top of the Championship. While Leeds might have issued an apology on Saturday morning, saying that the club's players and staffed has been remind of "the integrity and honesty which are the foundations that Leeds United is built on", the fact their marauding midfielder Mateusz Klich celebrated his teams 2-0 win by putting his hands over his eyes like a pair of binoculars showed there may have been an element of insincerity to the statement. In the stands too, it was pretty clear that the Elland Road faithful weren't particularly bothered about the accusations the spying incident might be considered "cheating" or that it had "brought the game into disrepute". In fact, fans were captured on film singing "We’re Leeds united, we’ll spy where we want" as they watched their team rack up their sixteenth league win of the season.
