Barcelona forward Lionel Messi has undoubtedly been one of the greatest footballers to ever lace up a pair of football boots.

Earlier this month Messi was named Barcelona's captain for the upcoming season following Andres Iniesta's move to Vissel Kobe in Japan. The forward will share the responsibility with Sergio Busquets, Gerard Piqué and Sergi Roberto, who will act as vice captains throughout the upcoming La Liga season.
