Liverpool fans may be surprised to hear what one of the best footballers of modern times has said about Roberto Firmino.
The Brazilian, signed last summer, has sometimes looked like he's struggling in the Premier League, but last week showed all of his class with two excellent goals in the 5-4 win over Norwich.
The forward is still adjusting to life at Anfield, but there is definite signs of improvement, although we're not sure he's quite done anything yet to deserve the type of praise lavished on him by former Barcelona great Ronaldinho.
The former Champions League winner is a big fan of the Liverpool number 10 and speaking to the Daily Mirror, feels that Firmino is on the same level as some of the best footballers in the Premier League.
"I didn't ever question if he would be a great player for Liverpool, I knew that he would be. "He's one of the best at what he does in the world. He's in the same class as Ozil, Silva, Iniesta, and all the other great players who play that role."
Jurgen Klopp is clearly a big fan of the former Hoffenheim player, as he is starting him up front recently, in place of £32million striker Christian Benteke.
Klopp is likely to overhaul his squad in the summer, and the 2002 World Cup winner feels that Firmino is the man to build a team around for the future.
"Klopp is one of the best coaches in the world, he will know that Liverpool need better players, he will know that Firmino will need better players around him to get the most out of his game. "I'm sure when he joined Liverpool, Klopp was promised he could bring in his own players, and with Firmino at the centre of the team, there's no reason Liverpool cannot challenge once again."https://twitter.com/Squawka/status/691572266514169856 Liverpool fans will be hoping that we haven't see the best of the Brazilian just yet.
