Liverpool fans will love Ronaldinho’s assessment of their midfield for next season

A bullish prediction. Liverpool signed Brazilian playmaker Roberto Firmino yesterday and their supporters are already excited at the prospect of him working in creative tandem with his countryman, Philippe Coutinho. Well one Brazilian trickster thinks the duo will be exceptional at Anfield next season. Ronaldinho never played in the Premier League, but he is still confidant that Firmino and Coutinho can help Liverpool back into the top four next year. “For Liverpool to have Coutinho and Firmino is a big achievement for them,” Ronaldinho said to the Liverpool Echo.

“It is going to give them one of the most exciting midfields in Europe. The creativity, intelligence, and goals they have between them can change Liverpool as a team. It is a big sign of intent. To have a midfield with those two gives them a big chance to qualify for the Champions League next season. It is a dream for the Liverpool strikers to have that sort of service. If you can’t score goals in a team with Coutinho and Firmino in midfield then you wont score goals in any team. They will create so many chances.”

Does that get Liverpool fans excited? After being released by his Mexican club, maybe Brendan Rodgers could finally bring Ronaldinho to the Premier League as a squad player. He can be Firmino and Coutinho's hype man if nothing else.
