A lofted ball towards the Liverpool back-post was steered back towards goal by Roma winger Stephan El Shaarawy before Lovren booted a clearance right into the face of Milner. If Liverpool advance they will face Real Madrid in the final after the two-time defending champions advanced past Bayern Munich 4-3 on aggregate in the other semi-final.
