Man City could be set for a massive injury boost ahead of Manchester derby

Manuel Pellegrini could be set to spring a surprise with his starting line up for Sunday's Manchester derby.

Manchester City playmaker David Silva could be set for a shock return after recovering from an injury he picked up on international duty. According to The Sun, the Spanish midfielder could be slotted straight into the starting line up as Pellegrini looks to solidify his team's place at the top of the Premier League table. Meanwhile, the same report suggests that City captain Vincent Kompany will feature even though the defender apparently upsetting Pellegrini by reporting for international duty despite an injury. Pellegrini already knows that he will be without striker Sergio Aguero as well as Samir Nasri, so leaving out Kompany would be a major risk ahead of such an important game.
