Mark Travers makes three saves to win shootout for Bournemouth

Republic of Ireland U21 goalkeeper Mark Travers helped Bournemouth through to the third round of the League Cup after a penalty shootout win over Forest Green on Wednesday.

Bournemouth had 75% possession and shot the ball 25 times but could not break down the League Two side as the game went to penalties where Travers stepped up to save all three of the visitors spot kicks to seal his side a spot in the next round. https://twitter.com/afcbournemouth/status/1166816383235252224 Travers signed a long-term contract with the Cherries during the summer and told the club's channel that he wanted to extend his stay on the south coast as soon as an offer was made from the club.
