Both reports claim that Jorge Mendes, the so-called "super-agent" who represents Cristiano Ronaldo and Jose Mourinho among others, is working on the deal for Doherty. Mendes has close links to Wolves and also represents the club's manager. The new deal for Doherty will scupper any interest Tottenham have in the player.
