Midtjylland striker damns Manchester United’s efforts in Europa League loss

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that he’s  probably right.

Manchester United fans, and players, will probably need a bit of time to get over last night’s 2-1 loss to FC Midtjylland, but at least it’s Friday. Louis van Gaal’s side suffered a shock result in the Europa League, and to compound his misery, he should know in the next 24 hours the extent of a knee injury picked up by David de Gea in the warm-up. That certainly seems to be the opinion of Ebere Paul Onuachu, who grabbed the all important second goal for the hosts in a famous win. The Nigerian spoke on BT after the game and told reporters that he was disappointed in how poor Manchester United were on the night.

“I think I expected more from them but we gave them what they didn't expect. We gave our best and got the result."

There’s no disagreeing with that assessment is there.
