Mohamed Salah names his favourite Liverpool goal so far

He's scored a few belters already.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been a colossal hit at Anfield since signing from Roma. The Egypt international has slotted seamlessly into Jurgen Klopp's attacking line, scoring 15 Premier League goals already to leave him as joint top-scorer on Christmas Day with Harry Kane. The quality of Salah's goals have been mightily impressive, too. There was the blistering run from his own half to score on the counter against Arsenal, the glorious curled finish against Southampton and the thunderbolt volley against Stoke. His best goal, according to the man himself though, was his strike against Everton. Playing in his first ever Merseyside derby, the former Chelsea man shrugged off Cuco Martina then brushed past Idrissa Gueye before finding the corner with a perfectly-judged left-footed shot. Here's how he remembered it during an interview with Sky Sports:

The goal against Southampton was good and Everton I like a lot. Watford was a special moment too. It was a good feeling to start with a goal in the Premier League and I wanted to do it in the first game. But it has to be Everton because I am using everything for this goal - power, skill, finishing. That's my best goal so far.

Salah is clearly supremely confident in his own abilities. When asked if he had expected to score as many goals for Liverpool, this was his response.

Honestly, yes. I always say nothing is by luck. You work, you expect more and you will get what you deserve.

Fair play, there's no false modesty with him.
