Former Shamrock Rovers manager sets out stall

Straight out, no messing about, we want him. That was the message from Trevor Croly today as he faced the media and told them on his first day as the new Bray Wanderers manager that he would love to have Damien Duff at the club in the future. The former Chelsea man told RTÉ a few months ago that he wants to end his career in Ireland, and with his time at Melbourne City coming to a close shortly it seems that we could see Duff lining out in the SSE Airtricity League. Croly, who was given a three-year term as Bray manager today, told the press that he would love to work with the Premier League winner.

I'm only in the job and I've not gone down that road of Damien Duff but he would be a great addition. If he's fit, he's at another level. If he is fit and interested, it would be nice to work with him.

Duff is currently trying to recover from a calf and ankle injury suffered in February and with Bray languishing second from bottom in the table at the moment his return to action would be a massive boost for the club. H/T to The Mirror
