No one’s taking West Ham’s link with Manchester United strikers even the slightest bit seriously

West Ham United are believed to be targeting Manchester United pair Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford as they prepare to boost their attacking firepower, according to the Daily Telegraph. Slaven Bilić's team had been linked with Martial as part of a swap deal involving Dimitri Payet, but this approach appears to be separate from any such trade.

West Ham have scored just 19 goals in 17 league games this season, and only two of those have come from strikers. Simone Zaza and Jonathan Calleri are reportedly on the verge of having their loan deals cut short having failed to find the net, while former United forward Ashley Fletcher's only Hammers goal came against his former club in the League Cup. A number of frontmen are reportedly on Bilić's radar, but few think either Martial or Rashford will end up at the London Stadium.
