There is another big weekend of sporting action coming up.

Friday, August 26.

Formula 1 returns this weekend after a four-week break with the F1 Belgian Grand Prix. World champion Max Verstappen won the previous race of the season, the Hungarian Grand Prix, to extend his lead at the top of the driver's standings. The Red Bull driver is now 80 points clear of Charles Leclerc in second place and will be the favourite for this weekend's race. Saturday, August 27.

The weekend's Premier League round of fixtures begins with Southampton versus Manchester United Man United started the season in the worst possible fashion, losing their first two games of the season. Erik ten Hag's team, however, experienced an incredible turnaround against Liverpool on Monday night when they beat Jurgen Klopp's side 2-1 at Old Trafford. The Red Devils will be aiming to build on that positive result and performance against Southampton at St Mary's on Saturday. The Saints have earned four points so far this season and picked up their first win of the campaign against Leicester City last week. Klopp's team were expected to, once again, mount a challenge for the Premier League title, but have made an underwhelming start to the season. The Reds recorded draws in their first two games of the campaign, and then followed that up with a surprise defeat away to Man United. They also have injury issues, with 10 first-team players currently on the sidelines. Liverpool, however, won't get a better opportunity to register their first win of the season than this Saturday. Newly-promoted Bournemouth have conceded seven goals in their last two games, losing 3-0 and 4-0 to Arsenal and Manchester City respectively. The Gunners have made a perfect start to the season, scoring nine goals in three impressive victories. The F1 Belgian Grand Prix also takes place on Sunday. Verstappen won the race at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit last year and will be the favourite for this weekend's edition. The Dutch driver has won eight of the 13 races so far this season and has a commanding lead at the top of the driver's standings as he closes in on retaining the world championship.
