A new name has cropped up among the favourites to replace Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool manager in the summer.
Klopp will leave the Reds after nine years in charge at the end of this campaign and the Reds have been working hard in the background to identify the perfect candidate to replace him.
Xabi Alonso was the initial first choice but the Spaniard has chosen to stay at Bayer Leverkusen, where he recently celebrated winning the Bundesliga.
Ruben Amorim of Sporting is now the new favourite to be in the dugout at Anfield while Roberto De Zerbi has also been linked, however, there is a new name in the frame.
According to Sky Bet, Feyenoord boss Arne Slot is one of the contenders to take over from Klopp.
Slot has done some seriously impressive work in the Netherlands and won the Eredivisie title last season. They're still within a chance of retaining the crown but PSV need just one more win to secure the league title.
Last year the Dutchman was heavily linked with the job at Tottenham before they eventually chose to go with Ange Postecoglou.
Although he came close to a top flight move last season, Slot previously stated that when the time comes to leave Feyenoord, his next move will ideally be to an English side.
"My next step will not be a club in Holland," he said last year (via Sky Sports). "If that is my next step, then I've failed completely. The normal next step will be to go abroad and I've always said the best league in the world is the Premier League."
He did however remain coy when asked about the Liverpool job.
"What answer can I give that there will be no headlines about it? So next question!" Slot said, via Voetbal Primeur.
