Tributes pour in after death of legendary League of Ireland boss

RIP.

Former Finn Harps boss Ollie Horgan has passed away at the age of 57, after a battle with cancer.

A hugely popular figure among all League of Ireland fans; known for his salt-of-the-earth ways, humorous quirks, and his flowing locks.

The Galway man began his career with Fanad United, winning three Ulster Senior Leagues with the Donegal side.

He was then appointed as manager of Finn Harps in 2013, and secured promotion to the Premier Division of the League of Ireland after just two seasons, on one of the lowest budgets in the league.

In total, he spent nine seasons with the Donegal club, departing in 2022 after relegation to the First Division.

He joined Galway United as assistant manager in 2022 before leaving earlier this month.
