Paul Pogba’s agent’s massive fees put into context with this simple stat

If you thought Manchester United paid out a lot to Jorge Mendes in seasons past, you might want to sit down before looking at Mino Raiola's potential earnings from the club.

The Italian-born Dutchman is set to earn around 20% of the proposed £100m+ transfer of Paul Pogba from Juventus, while he also represents United's new signings Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. That's double the club's outlay on agents' fees in the 2015/16 campaign, and when you throw in his cut of the Ibrahimovic and Mkhitaryan deals Raiola could well be making more than half of the £46.6m spent by every Premier League club combined last season. That seems unlikely, though. He also represents a certain Mario Balotelli, who is almost certainly set for a move away from Liverpool, while a couple more of his higher-profile talents have been linked with moves during the current transfer window. The prospect of Romelu Lukaku returning to Chelsea has been floated for a while now, while Blaise Matuidi could be set for a move away from current club Paris Saint-Germain.
