REPORTS: Manchester United have already tabled a record-breaking bid for Paul Pogba

Pogba moved to Juventus four years ago on a free transfer and has since matured into one of the most exciting players in world football. So bright is his future that new Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly willing to break the bank to get the Frenchman back in a United shirt. According to a report in the Sun, Mourinho has given the OK for his new club to launch a British transfer record bid of £60m (€77.5m) to procure the services of Pogba once more. Pogba, who lines out for tournament favourites France at Euro 2016, is in high demand with Barcelona and United's arch-rivals Manchester City also considering moves for the midfielder. But it seems as though the Red Devils have moved first, with a bid believed to be made up of an initial fee of £48m (€62m) with add-ons of £12m (€15.5m). The total would make Pogba the most expensive signing in British transfer history, slightly edging the £59.7m (€77m) that United splashed out for Angel di Maria two years ago. Pogba left the club in acrimony in 2012 after Ferguson had claimed the youngster was "disrespecting Manchester United" but it's understood that the 23-year-old would not be opposed to returning to United to play a part of the Jose Mourinho revolution at Old Trafford. Juventus have yet to formally respond to the bid and it's unlikely that any deal will be done before Pogba's role in Euro 2016 comes to a close but United fans will be pleased that Mourinho is looking to get his business done early.
