On September 5, Robbie Brady became Ireland's newest No.10.
"It just opened up and became available and I fancied it," Brady said. "I want to do well and I wanted to wear it."

Monday night was not Brady at his surging, urging, attacking best. He was part of an Ireland team that struggled to string passes together before salvaging a 2-2 draw. The Norwich City man played key roles in both goals, with his whipped corner for Daryl Murphy's header proving impossible to defend.
Speaking to The42's Ben Blake, post-match, Brady revealed he had been in touch with Keane before the game. He commented:
"I just sent Robbie a little text and said I’d try not do too much damage to it. He said ‘don’t worry, you only need to score 69 goals. "But Robbie is happy I have it and congratulated me on it. I’m hoping to go from strength to strength and put in some more good performances for Ireland."The 24-year-old has six goals in 27 Irish appearances but could well press for outright second place if he stays on penalty and free-kick duties. As for the game itself, Brady felt Ireland's point was well deserved and praised his team for showing tremendous character in earning a point. "I don’t think many people are going to enjoy coming here," he added. The GAA Hour Hurling Show relives Tipperary’s sensational All-Ireland victory with Paidí Maher.
