Robert Lewandowski admits he’s really not looking forward to playing Scotland

Robert Lewandowski may be the most feared striker in world football right now, but there's still one thing he's afraid of - the Scottish defence.

The Bayern Munich man comes to Hampden Park on Thursday night as Poland take on Scotland in a crucial Euro 2016 qualifier and he's not looking forward to what will be waiting there for him. "I expect the Scots will play very aggressively and not necessarily in accordance with the rules either," said Lewandowski, who has scored 12 goals in his last four games. "We have to give as good as we get," he continued. "We cannot be frightened of them. We are playing away, but it is important we keep hold of the ball and win possession. If we can play well defensively, we will win. The last thing we want is having to play our final game against Republic of Ireland with a knife to our throat." Scotland will be looking for a win against Poland to keep their qualifying dreams alive, as they currently sit in fourth place following a shock loss away to Georgia back in September. Meanwhile, the Poles know that victory could send them top of Group D if Germany come away from Dublin without a win.
