Robin van Persie has only joined Fenerbahce but he’s “not happy”

We're not saying Robin van Persie is high maintenance, but he does appear to want his own way, and is prepared to sulk if he doesn't get it.

The Fenerbahce forward was left out of his new side's starting XI over the weekend and despite coming off the bench to score the winner, he only wanted to talk about one thing following the game. "To be honest, I am not very happy at this moment," Van Persie told Turkish TV. "I was not happy that I started on the bench. I am fully fit, physically very well and able to play for 90 minutes." The 32 year old played the final 13 minutes of the game against Bursaspor, scoring the decisive goal in a 2-1 win that kept the Istanbul side top of the Super Lig. Nani, another former Manchester United player, scored the opener and Fenerbahce now have 13 points from five games. Which possibly explains why the Fener coach had no sympathy for Van Persie's plight. "The players can like or not like what I do, but I must take decisions," Vitor Pereira said when asked about his sulking star striker.
