Cristiano Ronaldo has said that he rejected several other offers before signing for Al-Nassr. Ronaldo said that he wanted to take the 'unique opportunity' to play for the Saudi Arabian club following his exit from Manchester United. The Portugal captain, 37, was presented to the media on Tuesday after signing a contract worth a reported €200m a year.

"I can say now I had many opportunities in Europe, many clubs in Brazil, Australia, USA, even in Portugal many tried to sign me," Ronaldo told reporters. "But I gave my word to this club not only to develop the club but the country. I know what I want, but I also know what I don’t want."
