Ryan Giggs gives his side of the story about Swansea job and sounds like it was his choice

Ryan Giggs will never get a chance.

If he can't get a Premier League job without any other managerial experience, where the hell else is he supposed to start? No-one cares about whether or not Bob Bradley has been in management for 35 years. What about the bloody British talent? Dion Fanning put it perfectly during the week in his article when he said that, in actual fact, British managers are not being overlooked. If anything, they're a protected species.

"Why can't Ryan Giggs catch a break?" the piece went. "No sooner had he - a man with no managerial experience - been overlooked for the manager's job at one of the biggest clubs in the world than he has to deal with the ignominy of being interviewed but failing to secure the position at Swansea, which has gone instead to Bob Bradley, a vastly experienced manager."

Well, Ryan Giggs has broken his silence. The Manchester United legend was on ITV for their coverage of the England and Malta game, Gareth Southgate's first match in charge of his country. And Giggs spoke openly about being interviewed for the Swansea job.

"I met with them a couple of times," the Welsh native revealed. "But, in the end, there were just mixed messages really from the football side and the ownership side of the club. "I just felt their ambitions didn't really match mine."
