With that in mind, you can probably appreciate why so many people found it highly ironic Ramos was seated behind Salah in Monaco's Grimaldi Forum on Thursday evening.
Salah was in attendance at the Champions League draw as one of the nominees for the Uefa Champions League player of the year for 2017/18, an award which was eventually won by Luka Modric. Prior to that, Ramos picked up an award for the best defender in the competition.
Following a brief interview on stage, many noticed that Ramos appeared to touch Salah on the shoulder - the same shoulder he injured in Kiev - as he returned to his seat moments later.
