"Just wanted to update you all, thanks so much for all the well wishes, just back from my scan & pleased to say I have no ACL damage. Be back soon."Coleman had just returned to Everton's starting line-up for the game after missing the previous three matches with a hamstring injury. The veteran defender was playing well in the relegation battle at the King Power Stadium and was expected to play a key role in the team's fight against the drop. Coleman, who joined Everton in 2009, is out of contract in the summer. Coleman suffered a serious knee injury in March 2017 following a dangerous tackle by Neil Taylor in a World Cup qualifier between Ireland and Wales at the Aviva Stadium. The Irish defender returned to action in January 2018. https://twitter.com/Everton/status/1653710041784934401 On Monday Night Football after Coleman suffered the injury, Jamie Carragher praised the Irishman and wished him well in his recovery. "It's a blow for him. Fingers crossed that it's not too serious but it didn't look great," Carragher said on Sky Sports. "It could be a real problem for Everton this season because I had felt until he had gone off the pitch, I thought he was the best player on the pitch. "The difference he's made to Everton, and not just in leadership. People always talk about Seamus Coleman's leadership, but his actual energy up and down that right side, providing an attacking outlet that hasn't been these last few weeks. "Considering what he's done for that football club, over the last (14) years he's been there, he's one of the best signings in Everton's history, 60 grand he cost, and there's no doubt they are going to miss him hugely.' https://twitter.com/SkySportsPL/status/1653150032579768320 On the latest episode of House of Football, Stephen Hunt and Alan Cawley spoke about Coleman.
