Seamus Coleman shows his class by reaching out to injured 19-year-old

If there's anything we've learned about Seamus Coleman over the last year it's that he's resilient and he's utterly sound.

Coleman spent most of this season sidelined with a double leg fracture but during that time he donated to the less fortunate, paid for flights and accommodation for two Everton fans to come watch the Toffees play Hadjuk Split and he also welcomed seven-year-old fan Daire Flanagan to Goodison Park after Flanagan's family were able to raise enough money to send Daire over to watch the club take on Watford. Coleman is no stranger to random acts of kindness but when 19-year-old Bray Wanderers defender Andy McGovern suffered a broken fibula and ligament damage in the Seagulls loss to Dundalk last Friday, the Ireland captain moved to get McGovern's number and offer his support to the young player. https://twitter.com/BrayWanderers/status/1002311886426255360 https://twitter.com/BrayWanderers/status/1002312658950017024 McGovren is currently recovering in hospital after undergoing surgery on his broken fibula. Dundalk smashed Bray 5-0 in the match but play was halted for several minutes at Oriel Park when McGovren collided with team-mate Sean Heaney late in the game. Bray manager Graham Kelly thanked supporters for sending kind messages to McGovren during his recovery. "The messages of support and well wishes for Andy McGovern have been a great boost to him," said Kelly. "Having spoken with Andy earlier today he was in good spirits and keeping positive."
