Shamrock Rovers have a simple season ticket incentive to get more kids interested in football

Shamrock Rovers are probably the biggest club in Ireland.

If not the biggest they are certainly the most successful club to ever play in Ireland. The Tallaght based team have 17 League of Ireland titles to their name with Shelbourne lagging behind with 13, but there will always be problems. Rovers want to get the youth of Ireland interested in football again. Perhaps with the massive Premier League TV deals, the League of Ireland scene got lost along the way or maybe with the oligopoly of success for Cork City and Dundalk of late, it is solely a problem of Shamrock Rovers. But that's not the point, all they want is to get kids interested in the local club again and their season ticket incentive should do just that. The cost of a Shamrock Rovers season ticket is €210 but this year it comes with the added bonus that you will now receive three children season tickets to accompany it. In a quote from the club after launching their new season ticket scheme they said:

"We are really excited to launch our #18in2018 Season Ticket range in which we have an unbeatable Family offer in our Kids go free season ticket; each Adult season ticket buyer will now be able to add up to 3 additional children season tickets at no additional cost and enjoy 18 home league games for a total cost of €210."

Rovers aren't the first team to try out this incentive as Shelbourne used to offer free season tickets to children to attend their games back in the early 2000's when they enjoyed many a League of Ireland winning campaign.
