Shkodran Mustafi reckons Mesut Ozil’s wonder goal shouldn’t have stood

Mesut Özil's 87th minute winner for Arsenal on Tuesday night has rightly earned lots of praise.

Two down in the opening fifteen minutes in Bulgaria, Arsenal had drawn level by half-time but it appeared the game was destined to finish a draw as the game entered its final minutes. Then, the German international intervened, making a mockery of the Ludogorets goalkeeper and a couple of his defensive colleagues to guarantee the Gunners' qualification for the Champions League knock-out stages for the 368th year on the spin. The goal was a work of art, but according to one of Özil's club and international teammates, it shouldn't have stood. Speaking to the media after the match, Shkodran Mustafi is asked about the importance of Arsenal getting their first goal of the evening.
