Alex Ferguson’s reaction to Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s free-kick was priceless

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a great free-kick in the EFL Cup final on Sunday.

Sure, Fraser Forster should have probably got closer to the strike, but Zlatan did his part. He cleared the wall, kept the shot on target and beat the Southampton goalkeeper. Considering most free-kicks hit the wall, go wide or are skied over the bar, it's difficult to say Ibrahimovic's goal wasn't impressive, despite Forster's rather meek attempt to stop it. It was also a crucial goal, as it opened the scoring for Manchester United, after Jose Mourinho's side had been outplayed in the opening stages of the game. The Swedish striker would go on to score the last goal of the game too, to give United a 3-2 win and put an end to any doubts about his ability to play in England at this advanced stage of his career. United fans must wish Ibrahimovic had joined the club years ago, and there's no doubt he would have fitted right in with their best teams of the recent past. Alex Ferguson, who managed to get the best out several big personalities in the past, certainly would have got the best from him. The former United manager was at Wembley for Sunday's game, and the club's social media team have released a video showing his reaction to Zlatan's strike.
