Some football fans call for Ireland international’s immediate inclusion in England squad

It can be sometimes confusing being a football supporter in England.

But, to be fair, a name like Rob Elliot is not so screamingly Irish as James McCarthy or Curtis Fleming, so we could sort of understand some fans ignorance during today's early Premier League game as the Irishman pulled off save after save in Newcastle's  1-0 win over Bournemouth. The netminder kept out everything that was thrown at him and looks to be in pole position to start for Ireland in next Friday's Euro 2016 play-off clash with Bosnia.
