PIC: German magazine pays magnificent tribute to Steven Gerrard on its front cover

Steven Gerrard's long goodbye from Liverpool began the moment last month when he announced he would not be signing a new deal and would instead be joining the LA Galaxy. Ever since then tributes have been poring in from all corners of the globe, but few have done it as well as this. Of Gerrard's current and former team-mates, Xabi Alonso perhaps summer it up best with his Twitter tribute but now he has a rival. German magazine 11 Freunde is something of a football's hipster's almanac and they've really nailed it with this tribute to Gerrard. The headline reads: 'The last Kaiser' while the sub-deck says 'the heavy farewell of Steven Gerrard'. We can only doff our caps to their art department.
