Togo seeking “another woman” after dumping Emmanuel Adebayor

It looks like Emmanuel Adebayor's international career is over after the Togo head coach likened him to a bad date.

Togo boss Tom Saintfiet says he will not select the Tottenham Hotspur striker, as he appears to be fed up with his antics.

Saintfiet explained that Adebayor failed to respond to a call-up for an African Cup qualifier against Djibouti on 4th September. He admitted that the striker's behaviour was akin to that of a poor date, and as a result he will be looking elsewhere for attacking options.

"If you are dating a woman who does not want to respond positively, then you must look for another woman."

According to Saintfiet, Adebayor did not reply to Togo management regarding last week's game by text message or email.

"For me, it is clear that he is a player who does not want to play for his country anymore."

Now that he's been dropped by both his country and his club, times are looking fairly grim for the former Man City man.
