Transfer Talk: Is Radamel Falcao set to leave Manchester United … and sign for Chelsea

Radamel Falcao wants to extend his stay in the Premier League, which is probably no surprise considering he's paid around €370,000 a week. However, the Colombian, according to The Mirror, is hoping for a move to a London club and recognises his Manchester United career will be soon coming to an end. As his wages might be a bit of a stretch for Leyton Orient, Falcao, and his agent Jorge Mendes, are hoping Chelsea or Tottenham Hotspur may be interested. Although, they accept the price they quoted United last summer, €60 million, to make the player's transfer from Monaco permanent is unlikely to met. Falcao has struggled at United this season, scoring just four goals, has recently lost his place in the team's starting XI and has started for the side's U-21 side in an effort to get game-time. Arsenal were interested in the player last summer, but they have since strengthened their forward line. While Spanish club Valencia may be an option if the player can lower his wage demands or a deal to remain in England doesn't materialise in the summer. The only certainty at the moment seems to be that Falcao will not be at Old Trafford next season. The Borussia Dortmund player is reportedly being monitored by Arsenal scouts, and could be available for €25m in the summer. Mkhitaryan wants to remain at the Bundesliga club, but could be tempted by a move to London, particularly if Dortmund miss out on Champions Legue qualification. The 26-year-old Armenian joined Dortmund from Shakhtar Donetsk almost two years ago. Liverpool have a Premier League replacement lined up for the soon-to-be departed Glen Johnson. According to The Daily Star, Newcastle United defender Daryl Janmaat has impressed Anfield scouts during his first season in England and is seen as having the technical ability required to go straight into Brendan Rodgers' side. Newcastle signed the 25-year-old from Feyenoord for €7 million last summer, after an impressive display for the Netherlands during their run to third place in the World Cup. Janmaat is less than a year into a six-year deal, but, like all Newcastle players, is available should another club meet his valuation. Johnson, meanwhile, has not been offered a new deal and is certain to leave Anfield on a free transfer this summer.
