Well, the biggest news - reported news - today is that Manchester United have stepped up their chase for Cristiano Ronaldo. Apparently.

The pick of them is that Pedro is close to sealing a deal that would see him leave Barcelona for Manchester United. The 27-year-old Spaniard is set to trade in the Nou Camp for Old Trafford but - apparently - United have been told that Barcelona will not accept anything less than £22m. They obviously haven't seen Raheem Sterling's price tag or, you know, a calendar to tell them what mad year we're living in. United will bite their hands off... to put 22 million pounds into them.
