O'Neill has overseen the meteoric progress of Watts over the past twelve months in particular, after giving him the chance in the UCD team, and he believes that an international call-up is not far away for the former St. Kevin's midfielder.
"He has great feet, is very comfortable on the ball, and has great courage, always wanting to get on the ball," O'Neill said. "He has a great future ahead of him, and if he continues to make the progress he has made in the last two years I see no reason why he can't make the Irish team."
