Real Madrid could find themselves in trouble after it emerged that VAR protocol was broken during their Champions League win against Bayern Munich.
Joselu came off the bench to rescue the day, scoring twice without reply after Alphonso Davies had initially put the away side in the league to win the game 4-3 on aggregate and set up a final against Borussia Dortmund.
However earlier in the game, moments after Davies had put Bayern in front, Madrid thought they had equalised after Nacho's effort deflected off Matthijs de Ligt.
It was then disallowed and at the time, TNT Sports commentator Darren Fletcher highlighted that Carlo Ancelotti's side had actually broken protocol when it came to VAR.
While VAR and referee Szymon Marciniak tried to determine if Nacho had fouled Joshua Kimmich in the build up to the goal, replays of the incident played around the Santiago Bernabeu that fans could see.
TNT commentator Fletcher said: "I thought there was some sort of rule against this happening."
Turns out Fletcher was correct as the IFAB state that VAR replays must not be shown inside stadiums until the match officials have made their decision in order to "protect referees".
Despite the extra pressure from fans and players around him, Marciniak correctly disallowed the goal.
Madrid's winner was also subjected to a VAR check and was eventually given.
Bayern had a stoppage time equaliser ruled out when De Ligt's shot was flagged because of an offside decision against Noussair Mazraoui.
After the game Thomas Tuchel said: "The linesman said sorry but that does not help.
"There are two mistakes. The first big mistake is from the linesman. He raised his flag straight away; to raise your flag in a situation like this, you have to be very, very sure it's offside.
"To have the guts, the balls, to raise the flag like this is a huge, huge call, and it is the wrong call. We got the shot away within five seconds [of the flag] and the referee has the chance not to whistle, but he whistles. It is against every rule."
